Only this demo version has the subscriptions disabled, all shipping versions of the forum have working subscriptions.

Please check the forumWatch table and make sure the subscriptions actually exist.

Next check your mail server log to actually verify that the connection attempt to send out the subscriptions is being made.

Please post any messages, error, etc., that your mail server is showing in the logs for these connection attempts.

um ok
Can you confirm that the version we have does not have the subscribe email bit disabled, as at the moment it does not work ... (and is therefore not viable)
If it is enabled can you explain why we are successfully getting emails from new user applications but not when a user subscribes to a thread?
thankyou

hi yes
as we are correctly receiving emails when users are applying for accounts, I assumed that all is ok with the mail setup.
Interestingly I have ticked the box above when posting this message (subscribe to Thread ...) and do not get the post in my email? (It's not in the spam filter either)

hi
just bought the forum and all works great (including getting emails back from new users)

Except -
when any users ticking the box -
"Subscribe to Thread and receive reply notification via email? "
nobody gets an email, have we missed something?
thanks
